The University of Iowa’s ECMO program has been offering ECMO courses since 2009. We are proud to offer this ELSO Endorsed ECMO Training Course, which is intended to train all levels of ECMO providers (APP, CCP, Physician, RN, RRT) through a combination of didactic presentations and high-fidelity simulation. This course will fullfil the requirements for Step 1 and Step 2 of the E-AEC certification. Course content includes management of VenoVenous and VenoArterial ECMO.

The 36th Annual Rheumatology Symposium offers exploration of current topics in vasculitis, cardio rheumatology, and systemic sclerosis. Sessions cover the diagnosis and management of both large and small vessel vasculitis, alongside emerging insights into how inflammation shapes cardiovascular disease. Afternoon discussions examine systemic sclerosis through a vascular and phenotypic lens, followed by an engaging Mini Thieves Market featuring clinical cases.

This conference, which focuses on collaborative learning, dialogue, and inter-professional exchange, seeks to provide up-to-date information in healthcare ethics relevant to clinical practice; provide approaches to ethical reasoning that clarify ethical problems; and facilitate professional discussion of ethical challenges and decision making in healthcare.
