Providers at University of Iowa Health Care learned this week that they have earned continued accreditation from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). The CFF establishes a standard of care based on guidelines developed with leading experts and based on peer-reviewed evidence and research. By adhering to those guidelines, establishing meaningful quality improvement, and undergoing a rigorous site review, our care team once again received the highest recommendation from the international non-profit, a five-year accreditation.
Each member of these teams has contributed to this reaccreditation as well as the programs’ continued successes, said Dr. Joseph Zabner, Director of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Occupational Medicine. Dr. Zabner offered his congratulations to all the members of these teams for their “major accomplishment,” citing in particular Dr. Hornick’s and ARNP Brian Wayson’s leadership of the adult care team.
