We are pleased to present the next in our weekly series introducing you to Internal Medicine’s Advanced Practice Providers. In addition to sharing information about where they work in the department, we asked them each to tell us a little bit about their “Why” (the sustaining pull for their work) and what relaxes them. (Read previous weeks’ installments.)
General Internal Medicine
Service: Hospitalist Service
Years with Internal Medicine: 6 years
Hometown: Fayette, Iowa
My “WHY”: Growing up, my grandparents lived on the “home farm” with my family. As my grandmother aged and became a widow, I assisted with taking care of her. Those moments with my grandmother inspired me to go into the healthcare field. I see my grandmother in a lot of my patients now, which reminds me why I chose this profession, and keeps me motivated to continue to help and serve others.
What Relaxes Me: Sunshine, Cocktails, and KC Chiefs Football!
Aimee is a very hardworking and dedicated APP. She never hesitates to spend the extra time necessary to give her patients the best care possible.
