Not only does the department keep an eye on all the publications that members produce each month (updated here), but Internal Medicine pays particular attention to those publications that include contributions from residents. The department’s commitment to training residents extends beyond the clinic and into research, exposing them to a variety of scholarship and research opportunities. The guided work they engage in often results in some of their first publications.
March was a productive month with five resident publications, ranging from retrospective cohort studies to more hands-on work like first-authoring case reports. Congratulations to these five residents as well as their faculty members and fellows who provided mentoring along the way.
