We are pleased to recognize their contributions!
Harmony Tamboura, Nurse Practitioner
Hospital Medicine
Nominated by Dominica Rehbein
Harmony Tamboura, ARNP, provides oversight and ensures patient safety overnights for hospital medicine inpatients, as well as inpatients from other services. This is critical, but often invisible work, and she tackles it with competence and energy! Most recently, Harmony has been instrumental in the success of launching key hospitalist initiatives including the daily flex staffing process based on patient census, provided training to several newer team members on overnight cross coverage processes, and put in extra hours to support moonlighters on the hospital medicine early morning shift. She has also volunteered to provide remote support to Iowa Rehab Hospital patients overnight. Our team and patients are better supported because of Harmony’s contributions!

Courtney Reinsmoen, Nurse Practitioner
Hospital Medicine
Nominated by Maria Witt
She consistently is a helpful resource for all other APPS with her deep clinical knowledge, but she also is consistently praised by her patients. She has been crucial in the ED APP role since the inception and is always dependable to work through challenging questions. I personally have had her help me with challenging admissions and lateral transfer questions that always considers the patient and patient safety. She always will help no matter her assigned role for the day. She helps onboard new APPs and takes on both NP and PA students yearly to help train future providers. For the team she consistently is flexible with her schedule by working longer stretches, she is always helpful for a trade if needed or any last-minute modifications by moving teams even if it makes her day more challenging.
Sherrie Cooling, Clerk III
Hospital Medicine
Nominated by Hospitalst APPs
I want to recognize Sherrie for working so hard behind the scenes on the scheduling system. We had just changed all the shifts and we had an additional update that she worked so hard to include the right people to make sure it got done. She is efficient and always tries to get things done timely. I have always found Sherrie to be so helpful to any request I have and she can almost always point in the right direction to do it myself next time. I appreciate Sherrie so much.
Sherrie Cooling, Susan Kluever, and Aly Conrad (Admin Support Team)
Hospital Medicine
Nominated by Jeydith Gutierrez
Sherrie, Susan, and Aly Conrad, worked very hard this month to move all the hospital medicine calendars and call schedules from Qgenda to Teamworks. This was no small feat and required lots of creativity to troubleshoot the limitations of the new program. Communication was smooth and our team felt adequately supported. We are lucky to have such an awesome admin team!

Nominated by Maneet Multani
I want to recognize Crystal Shramek for her excellent and diligent care at our new North Liberty Hospital. this month, she was on alert when a post-operative patient began feeling unwell. Using her clinical expertise, she quickly identified cardiogenic shock, patient had a CODE blue, and Crystal, along with the outstanding team at North Liberty, successfully resuscitated and stabilized the patient for urgent transfer to our University Hospital and achieved a door-to-balloon time of under 90 minutes for the code STEMI, in addition to a successful resuscitation effort.
Andrew Bryant, Clinical Associate Professor
Hospital Medicine
Nominated by Chetie Daniels
Andy consistently brings a thoughtful and collaborative approach to complex operational situations. During a recent high-acuity transfer discussion, he worked across teams to clarify the safest and most appropriate care plan. Through clear communication and clinical judgment, Andy helped ensure the patient remained in the right setting for timely specialty care. He balances patient advocacy with respect for shared clinical responsibility and has a way of making difficult situations run smoothly. This was a great example of the kind of leadership that strengthens patient care and deepens trust with his team.
