Add “Guest Editor” to the list of hats that Dr. Joe Szot wears. In addition to serving as Associate Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program, Vice Chair for Education, and the Medical Director of CME for the College of Medicine, Dr. Szot has recently produced Emergencies in the Outpatient Setting, An Issue of Medical Clinics of North America.
This is the latest in a series published by Elsevier. Dr. Szot lent his particular expertise assembling and working with writers to produce articles on a wide variety of topics including TIA/Stroke; COPD and Asthma Exacerbation; Intoxication and Withdrawal; Hypertensive Emergency; Anaphylaxis; Monoarticular Arthritis; and many more.
In addition to shaping students at Iowa, Dr. Szot has also been shaping articles, which can now be read by medical students everywhere. Congratulations on this publication, Dr. Szot!
