Medical students in each class have the opportunity to vote for the faculty member or resident that they viewed as demonstrating the highest level of teaching excellence. The second-year medical students voted for Dr. Jason Barker this year. Dr. Barker is an Associate Professor of Infectious Diseases, as well as of Microbiology. Since 2013 he has been the Mechanisms of Health and Disease Keystone Course co-director and teaches MOHD 2 and Introduction to Medical Microbiology, among many other responsibilities in mentoring and clinical teaching. Congratulations on this well-deserved award, Dr. Barker!
