Fall is not only the time for new CME events, but it is also a time for setting up platforms for communicating one’s research discoveries. Internal Medicine hosts and participates in a number of research poster and oral presentations, both as a means for trainees and students to grow more comfortable with presenting to colleagues, but also for more established researchers to exchange ideas. We hope you will celebrate your research by sharing it in one of the upcoming poster sessions!

Progress 2018: Scientific Abstract Competition and Poster Session, 10/18/18
For the second year, the Iowa Chapter of the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) will sponsor the poster session with lunch for Progress 2018: Learning Together in the 21st Century. Poster submissions are likely to come from members of academic medical programs from around the state. This is a good opportunity to connect with regional scientists and academic physicians from outside the institution. Poster prizes will be awarded, and the winning poster will have guaranteed acceptance to the annual National SHM conference next March. Membership in SHM is not required for submission.
Links to guidelines and submission form are here.
Submission deadline is 5:00 p.m., Monday, October 8.
