Meet Our APPs: Jaime Bonner, MSN, ARNP

We are pleased to present the next in our weekly series introducing you to Internal Medicine’s Advanced Practice Providers. In addition to sharing information about where they work in the department, we asked them each to tell us a little bit about their “Why” (the sustaining pull for their work) and what relaxes them. (Read previous weeks’ installments).

Jaime Bonner, MSN, ARNP
Hematology/Oncology

Service: Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center: Melanoma and Genitourinary teams

Time with Internal Medicine: 4.5 years

Hometown: Currently North Liberty, lifelong Iowan

My “WHY”: My work in the Cancer Center satisfies a desire to do good for my community.  I enjoy being involved in making decisions about treatment, but what keeps me coming back is the opportunity to offer support to patients during their journey with cancer and the relationships with my patients and team members.  Every day is a challenge, and never the same challenge twice.

What relaxes me: Running, hiking, being outdoors

“Jaime is a thorough and compassionate oncology provider. Her patients love her. They consistently request to see her and give very positive feedback on her care.”

– – Michele Freesmeier, PA-C

Bonner was also recognized with a Patient’s Choice Award for her excellence in patient experience.
