Mitigation strategies and vaccinations have brought the pandemic to a point where conference organizers have felt confident in resuming in-person events. Like almost everyone else, members of Internal Medicine were more than ready to make the journey, eager to learn from far-flung colleagues face to face, and to share the good work they have achieved in recent years.
Two conferences, the Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM) and the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM), were two of the most recent and the most heavily attended by faculty, staff, and trainees, a number of whom received invitations to present their work.
