The purpose of this two-day conference is to highlight the latest evidence-based practice and strategies for the management of critically ill patients with obesity and other critical care issues.
Keynotes from Jesse Hall, MD, FCCP, FCCM, professor emeritus and former section chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Chicago and from April Prunty, PhD, RN, Chief Nurse, Education, Minneapolis VA Health Care System.
Topics include airway management, understanding and mitigating implicit bias, sedation in mechanically ventilated patients, tracheostomies, informed assent, diabetes, and more.
