We are pleased to present the next in our weekly series introducing you to Internal Medicine’s Advanced Practice Providers. In addition to sharing information about where they work in the department, we asked them each to tell us a little bit about their “Why” (the sustaining pull for their work) and what relaxes them. (Read previous weeks’ installments.)
Sarah Lee, MPAS, PA-C
Hematology, Oncology and Blood & Marrow Transplantation
Services: Adult Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy
Years with Internal Medicine: 1 year
Hometown: Los Angeles, California
My “WHY”: I enjoy being able to provide care and support during patients’ difficult journeys through cancer and transplant. I also enjoy the continuity of care and relationships we build with our patients, and it is very rewarding to have patients return years after treatment living happy and healthy lives.
What Relaxes Me: Reading, knitting, spending time with my family.
Sarah consistently places patients at the center of her practice, and works diligently to help patients and families understand and navigate the complexity of the transplant process. We are very lucky to have her on our team!
