Meet Our APPs: Corrie Swartzentruber DNP, ARNP

We are pleased to present the next in our weekly series introducing you to Internal Medicine’s Advanced Practice Providers. In addition to sharing information about where they work in the department, we asked them each to tell us a little bit about their “Why” (the sustaining pull for their work) and what relaxes them. (Read previous weeks’ installments.)

Corrie Swartzentruber DNP, ARNP
General Internal Medicine

Service: Pre-Surgical Evaluation Clinic

Years with Internal Medicine: 6 years as an ARNP

Hometown: Wellman, Iowa

My “WHY”: With the current status of healthcare, my goal is to make sure patients are well-followed, and their chronic health conditions are as optimal as possible so they can continue to live a full life. I also work to ensure patients understand their healthcare decisions and risks involved, so that they can make informed decisions that are right for them about their wishes moving forward.

What Relaxes Me: Enjoying time outside when the weather is nice and traveling with my family!

Corrie is a true leader who embodies the WE CARE core values. She routinely goes above and beyond the call of duty, provides excellent care and coordination for patients, and is essential to the operations of the Pre-Surgical Evaluation Clinic.
