Meet Our APPs: Deborah Remy Parr, MPAS, PA-C

We are pleased to present the next in our weekly series introducing you to Internal Medicine’s Advanced Practice Providers. In addition to sharing information about where they work in the department, we asked them each to tell us a little bit about their “Why” (the sustaining pull for their work) and what relaxes them. (Read previous weeks’ installments.)

Deborah Remy Parr, MPAS, PA-C
Hematology, Oncology and Blood and Marrow Transplantation

Service: Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center Clinic

Years with Internal Medicine: 23 years

My “WHY”: Cancer care has changed dramatically over the years I have been with the division. From new drugs and clinical trials to working with dedicated teams for each type of cancer. Being a part of this process of caring for and supporting our patients on their cancer journey is very rewarding and keeps me coming to work every day.

What restores me for the work: Spending time with family and friends, reading, hiking and visiting national parks.

Deb is truly one of the most dedicated and responsible providers. Patients appreciate her kind, compassionate care and detail-oriented skill. We are very fortunate to have her on our team!
