We are pleased to present the next in our weekly series introducing you to Internal Medicine’s Advanced Practice Providers. In addition to sharing information about where they work in the department, we asked them each to tell us a little bit about their “Why” (the sustaining pull for their work) and what relaxes them. (Read previous weeks’ installments.)
Samantha Sparrow, PA-C
Hematology, Oncology, and Blood & Marrow Transplantation
Services: Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapies Program
Time with Internal Medicine: 8 months
Specialty or service I almost chose instead of this one: I previously worked in the MICU and Emergency Department prior to transitioning to my current position.
One of my favorite moments in this job: Working with a supportive and positive team who love to eat food as much as I do.
What restores me for the work: I love spending time with my husband, son, and our dog. I enjoy being outside, hiking, camping, gardening, and doing watercolor painting.
Sam is a bright light in our clinic. Her positive attitude and the excellent care that she provides her patients is next to none. She is an amazing team player and we are so fortunate to have her in our clinic.
