Meet Our APPS: Randi Pitzen, PA-C

We are pleased to present the next in our weekly series introducing you to Internal Medicine’s Advanced Practice Providers. In addition to sharing information about where they work in the department, we asked them each to tell us a little bit about their “Why” (the sustaining pull for their work) and what relaxes them. (Read previous weeks’ installments.)

Randi Pitzen, PA-C
General Internal Medicine

Service/Clinic: Hospitalist Service and PEC Clinic

Years with Internal Medicine: 1 year

Longest Place I Ever Lived: Iowa City, IA

My “WHY”: I love working in a department where I am learning new things every day. This allows me to continually improve as a clinician and better serve my patients. I enjoy putting the pieces together to help my patients improve and progress towards discharge.

What Relaxes Me: Spending time with family and friends, a good book, and a glass of wine.

Randi has become a well-rounded APP within our general medicine group. She has oriented to multiple services within our department and her flexibility is appreciated. She is a true team player. Randi is always looking out for her colleagues and constantly checking to see if anyone needs help.
