A spooky noon conference

Noon conference is always a time for the residents to take a break, learn a little, and connect with colleagues. But last week on Halloween, the residency program’s Wellness Committee added a little something extra to the hour.

Treats, tunes, and a pumpkin carving competition were all on offer for the residents to celebrate the holiday. Some donned costumes for the hour, while others were up to their elbows in pumpkin scooping. Chief Residents Taylor Becker, MD, and Reed Johnson, MD, served as hosts in their “Hocus Pocus” and Bill Nye inspired outfits.

Post-carving, followers of the Chiefs’ Instagram account were able to register their votes for the winning carving. The SARS-CoV-2 shade-wearing virus still seems to inspire chills.
