Cardiovascular Medicine winter party, 2025

With the closing of the traditional venue of the Iowa River Power Company, the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine had to find a new location for its annual “holiday” party. Held deep enough into winter as to avoid any conflicts and to provide a bright spot in the waning days of a long, cold season, the party moved last year to Bump’s Restaurant.

Given its proximity to UI Health Care’s Medical Center University campus, the Finkbine Golf Course-adjacent location makes it easier for faculty and staff to gather on a Friday evening before the weekend obligations begin.

In conversation over drinks, savory meats from the carving station, and an array of dessert options, attendees filled more than their stomachs while they caught up with each other’s lives.
