At the just-concluded Digestive Disease Week held in Chicago, third-year resident Dr. Sergio Sanchez Luna received a Poster of Distinction award. His abstract and poster, “Clinical Burden of Liver Disease from Hereditary Hemochromatosis at an Academic Medical Center,” was rated in the top ten percent of all those selected for presentation at the conference.
Dr. Sanchez Luna’s abstract and poster was prepared with his mentor, Dr. Kyle Brown, Associate Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Dr. Sanchez Luna is grateful for her assistance. “She is truly fantastic,” he says. Congratulations, Dr. Sanchez Luna!
