Even as University of Iowa Health Care continues to weather a rise in COVID-19 infections, our faculty members continue to excel. Within the clinic and the classroom, from telemedicine visits to international research conferences, our faculty members manage a combination of research, education, and clinical responsibilities. In addition to all of that, these twenty faculty members assembled successful promotion applications, moving from associate professor to professor and from assistant professor to associate professor. We applaud their diligence and the well-deserved return on that effort, especially at a moment like this.
It is unfortunate that we are unable to gather in person to celebrate with their family and colleagues as we have in the past. We hope that this public acknowledgement can serve as a small token of our appreciation. Congratulations!
Professors
A tradition for each promotion class is to ask newly promoted professors to select a quote that is personally meaningful or perhaps summarizes their professional philosophy. The Carver College of Medicine then provides them with that quote in a framed remembrance denoting this achievement.
