On Thursday of this week, the Division of Infectious Diseases hosted a small farewell for its graduating fellows, Matt Smith, MD, and Joseph Tholany, MD. Faculty, staff, and their fellow trainees gathered to congratulate the pair and to thank them for their contributions during a challenging couple years.

Both graduates will continue their training at the Iowa City VA Health System. Smith will take a slot in the recently launched VA Health Research Fellowship and Tholany will join the VA Quality Scholars Program. Congratulations, graduates!
