We are pleased to present the next in our weekly series introducing you to Internal Medicine’s Advanced Practice Providers. In addition to sharing information about where they work in the department, we asked them each to tell us a little bit about their “Why” (the sustaining pull for their work) and what relaxes them. (Read previous weeks’ installments.)
Rachael Stadlen, DNP, ARNP
Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Occupational Medicine
Service: MICU
Years with Internal Medicine: 6 years
Hometown: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
My “WHY”: Being part of an ICU team that supports and provides comprehensive, evidence-based medicine to patients, during some of the most critical and vulnerable times in their health, gives me purpose and meaning in the work I do each day.
What relaxes me: Sunshine, exercise, my dog, and french fries
Rachael is always striving to learn all she can and stay current with evidence-based critical care. She shares that knowledge with us, which elevates our whole group to be better providers and function at higher levels. We are grateful for the skill and knowledge she brings to the MICU.
– Allison Wynes, ARNP
