Meet Our APPs: Diane VanErsvelde, PA-C

We are pleased to present the next in our weekly series introducing you to Internal Medicine’s Advanced Practice Providers. In addition to sharing information about where they work in the department, we asked them each to tell us a little bit about their “Why” (the sustaining pull for their work) and what relaxes them. (Read previous weeks’ installments.)

Diane VanErsvelde, PA-C
Hematology, Oncology, and Blood & Marrow Transplantation

Service: Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center

Years with Internal Medicine: 30 years

Specialty or service I almost chose instead: My interest has always been with Oncology- love the continuity of care with our patients

One of my favorite moments in this job: reconnecting with patients that previously were treated and now doing well/living cancer-free!

What restores me for the work: spending time/entertaining with family and friends, especially my first granddaughter, Paisley! Also enjoy planting flowers and tending to those in the summer.

Diane is an exceptional colleague, compassionate, hardworking, humble, and very much appreciated and respected by her patients and coworkers.
