We are pleased to present the next in our weekly series introducing you to Internal Medicine’s Advanced Practice Providers. In addition to sharing information about where they work in the department, we asked them each to tell us a little bit about their “Why” (the sustaining pull for their work) and what relaxes them. (Read previous weeks’ installments.)
Tracie Neustel, MSN, ARNP, FNP
Pulmonary, Critical Care. and Occupational Medicine
Clinic: UI Occupational Health
Years with Internal Medicine: I have been with UI Occupational Health (formerly known as UI HealthWorks) since 2000.
One of my favorite moments in this job: I truly enjoy assisting our patients in their path to recovery from their work-related injury.
What restores me for the work: Time with my two sons, family, and friends and just about anything I can do outside, especially hiking.
Tracie is a compassionate health care provider who has sharp clinical skills and a strong fund of knowledge. She is especially skillful balancing the unique needs of injured workers, helping them to stay safe in the work place while advocating for their health and well-being. Tracie is a well respected member of our Occupational Health team and it is a pleasure to work with her.
