Reisinger named new liaison between HCCC and ICTS

Heather Reisinger, PhD, professor in General Internal Medicine and the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (ICTS) Associate Director of Engagement, Integration, and Implementation, is joining the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center (HCCC) as a liaison between ICTS and HCCC. Reisinger brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for advancing dissemination and implementation science, as well as experience in community and patient engagement. Her collaborative efforts will focus on fostering the rapid integration of research, practice, and policy, ensuring that HCCC remains at the forefront of innovative cancer care and population health initiatives.

Reisinger’s leadership is marked by her formal training as an implementation scientist and her growing national and international recognition in the field. Moreover, her affiliation with the UI Carver College of Medicine and her role as the Director of the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Rural Health Care Center for the Evaluation of Enterprise-Wide Initiative further highlight her commitment to addressing health care disparities and improving health outcomes for diverse populations and those with a cancer diagnosis.
