We are pleased to recognize their contributions!
Mitra Asadi, Fellow

Anonymous nomination
She goes beyond to follow up on and advocate for her patients.
Lynne Thomas, Administrative Services Coordinator
Immunology
Nominated by: Ben Davis and Danielle Allen
While team members were out of the office, Lynne went above and beyond to ensure the division continued to run smoothly. She handled last-minute errands, supported the onboarding of a new faculty member, and took the initiative to find answers to questions outside of her typical responsibilities. We’re grateful for her upbeat demeanor and her willingness to step in wherever and whenever needed.
Juno Sung, Resident

Anonymous nomination
Provided excellent patient care to his patients on 6RC. Dr. Sung was always wonderful in working with patients and families and he is a valuable member of the Internal Medicine Residency.
Deanna Gansemer, Administrative Services Coordinator
Cardiovascular Medicine
Anonymous nomination
I truly appreciate the timely support she provides in navigating the complexities of our research grants. She helps managing our projects moving forward smoothly, and patiently explains many of the complicated paperwork. She is extremely good.
Kirstin Brainard, Nurse Practitioner
Hospital Medicine
Nominated by Rolando Sanchez
She taught my MICU team on how to perform a bedside exam using POCUS to diagnose intracranial hypertension (measuring the diameter of the optic nerve) in an unstable patient with severe hypoxic brain injury. Often, doctors don’t perform funduscopy exam anymore, and they rely on CT head and MRI brain to assess intracranial hypertension. POCUS has become a wonderful tool to expand our physical assessment of papilledema.
Liz Jackson, Research Support Coordinator

Nominated by Jana Ringle
Liz has done a great job covering fellowship during my absence.
Sara Lang, Administrative Services Coordinator

Dr. Abidov is an incredible asset to the division of immunology, particularly to the fellows who consistently rely on him for his advice and expertise. In addition to being an excellent physician, he is a wonderful mentor and educator. We are lucky to have him!
