Delicious food and a shared sense of community brought Internal Medicine faculty together for a winter evening of connection. A break from typical routines, Wilson’s Cider House hosted the department’s holiday celebration last week, where colleagues from different divisions had a chance to connect outside the clinical setting.
A hearty brisket, roasted chicken, potatoes, and Brussels sprouts was followed by a cupcake buffet, which made the evening even sweeter. After some brief remarks welcoming guests and their loved ones and thanking everyone for their contributions to a successful 2025, Chair & DEO Upi Singh, MD, worked the room, phone in hand, stopping for selfies to capture the evening.
Events like these reflect the collaborative spirit of Internal Medicine and the value of coming together to strengthen connections across divisions. And, of course, the role of a cheesecake-flavored cupcake in fostering faculty community should not be overlooked.
