We are pleased to recognize their contributions!
Shinya Hasegawa, Fellow

Despite a busy two weeks, Shinya ran a relaxed but efficient teaching service. He established a comfortable learning environment that pushed trainees but made it fun in the process, and I had a blast working with him.
Monica Bogaard, Admin Services Coordinator

Anonymous nomination
Consistently and expertly organizing travel and visit itineraries for ACRC guest speakers
Antoanela (Toni) Dobre, Medical Assistant II
Infectious Diseases
Nominated by Poorani Sekar
Toni coordinates care for patients on outpatient IV antibiotics. She keeps a very close eye on lab trends. She is the first one to alert most of the physicians when there is a problem. She has caught many issues including significant neutropenia, transaminitis and rhabdomyolysis that occurred as a result of antibiotics. She works with us / the nursing home / the infusion centers / home infusion agencies in ensuring these problems are quickly addressed and appropriate adjustments in treatments are made.
Lauren Ringe, PA/ARNP/NNP Supervisor

Nominated by Samantha Sparrow
Lauren continues to be an amazing leader and dedicated to her work on the stem cell transplant and cellular therapies team. She goes above and beyond to make sure that patient needs are met. She is a wonderful leader and provider. If we could clone her, we would.
Yuya Hagiwara, Clinical Associate Professor

This doctor was not only able to take care of his patients but he also mentored his fellows & helped them succeed. We wish him the best as he will be leaving us in March. We know he will continue to support and inspire others at his new job too.

Thank you for supporting Dr. Singh with travel and event planning during the Executive Assistant transition, in addition to your daily support and organization with all the CV researchers and lab staff in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Your dedication and effort do not go unnoticed.
Eric Mou, Clinical Assistant Professor
Hematology, Oncology, and Blood & Marrow Transplantation
Nominated by Donghyun Kim
Dr. Mou’s bedside manner is truly phenomenal. He can break down a tough cancer diagnosis and calm a patient’s spiraling anxiety at the same time with impeccable vibes. Patients and families love Dr. Mou with full trust. I’ve lost count of how many glowing compliments I’ve heard. Even the most “this‑might‑be-a-long-day” patient suddenly becomes an absolute breeze the moment Dr. Mou walks in. I’m convinced Dr. Mou is wearing a Superman costume under his shirt and tie.
Dylan Gardiner, Admin Services Coordinator and Lynne Thomas, Admin Services Coordinator

Dylan and Lynne are absolute joys to have in our division, and make our lives so much easier. Thank you for always making the workplace a fun, festive, spirited, and snack-filled environment!.
Eileen Fürstenberg, Senior HR Specialist

Nominated by Molly Flynn
Eileen has supported our faculty through several timely and complex privileging and credentialing issues over the past several months. We would not have been as successful without her attention to detail and consistent follow-up. Our team extends a sincere and heartfelt thank you!
Lori Bassler, Director, Research Administration and Financial Operations
Internal Medicine
Nominated by Dee Gansemer
Lori’s work with Drs London and Song on their recent T32 training grant should be taught in a master class! Impressive coordination. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
Jinxi Wang, Research Assistant Professor
Cardiovascular Medicine
Anonymous nomination
Jinxi is completely supportive of all lab members’ endeavors and success. He has been central in encouraging and motivating us to go above and beyond.
Luke Morrey, Fellow
Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine
Nominated by Matt Becker
I interacted with Luke when he was working with the Pulmonology consult service. We had a patient needing a largely outpatient workup who was too scared to leave the hospital due to breathing concerns. Luke was extremely patient in attending to their concerns. He took time out of a busy schedule with undoubtedly sicker patients and made sure this patient was able to discharge with peace of mind. I’m not sure we could have got her home without his help. Thanks again, Luke!
Josalyn Cho, Associate Professor
Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Occupational Medicine
Anonymous nomination
Dr. Cho showed incredible grace, compassion and humanity during a particularly difficult MICU block. Each time I work with her, I am blown away by her clinical expertise, patient advocacy and powerful but subtle leadership style. Truly one of a kind doc!
