This year, the Department of Internal Medicine celebrates several promotions to professor (14) and many to associate professor (7). Both groups were honored in promotion ceremonies in the last month. For the newly minted associate professors, UI Vice President for Medical Affairs Denise Jamieson, MD, MPH, and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs Peter Snyder, MD, were there to congratulate them on behalf of the college, and present them with a crystal trophy or framed certificate to commemorate their accomplishments.
