Last week, the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine held an open house at nearby Bump’s restaurant to say thank-you and farewell to Isabella Grumbach, MD, PhD, who has called their division home in her years with UI Health Care. Colleagues both from within the division and her research lab attended, as well as those she worked with in her capacity as interim chair for nearly three years.

Grumbach has accepted a position as chair of medicine at Oklahoma University and will begin her role in Oklahoma City later this summer. The department held a similar farewell and tribute to her late last year. Colleagues also offered a tribute to her leadership and contributions at the end of her term in September.
